Diving in your School

An Example Bespoke Learning Journey

At Scuba 4 Schools, every school programme we deliver is tailor-made to suit your students, schedule, and educational goals. Whether you’re introducing diving as part of your outdoor learning provision, STEM enrichment, or personal development strategy, we’ll design a pathway that grows with your students — year by year.

To give you an idea of what’s possible, here’s an example of a three-year progressive diving programme designed for upper primary and lower secondary students.

Year 6 (Ages 10–11) — Discover Scuba Taster Session

We start with an exciting PADI Discover Scuba Diving session at the end of term — a fun, shallow-water experience that introduces students to scuba in a safe and controlled environment. This session sparks curiosity, builds confidence in the water, and helps identify students interested in continuing their diving journey into Year 7.

Year 7 (Ages 11–12) — PADI Seal Team

In Year 6, students progress to the PADI Seal Team programme — a series of engaging, pool-based missions that teach basic diving skills through fun underwater challenges. It’s a fantastic way to develop teamwork, communication, and water confidence in a structured, supportive setting.

Year 8 (Ages 12–13) — PADI Open Water Diver & Cornwall Field Trip

Students ready to take the next step complete their PADI Open Water Diver certification, the first full scuba qualification recognised worldwide. Training culminates in a camping and diving field trip to Cornwall, with dives at Porthkerris, one of the UK’s most beautiful and accessible coastal sites. This stage blends adventure, learning, and outdoor education — an unforgettable experience that builds independence and responsibility.

Year 9 (Ages 1314) — Advanced Open Water & Egyptian Expedition

By Year 8, students advance their skills through the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, exploring deeper dives, navigation, and specialty experiences such as marine ecology or underwater photography. The programme concludes with an end-of-term live-aboard expedition to Egypt’s Red Sea — a week of world-class diving, teamwork, and personal growth that celebrates everything they’ve learned along the way.

Programmed to fit Your Schools curriculum

Every school’s timetable, facilities, and objectives are different — that’s why all our programmes are fully flexible.

We will work with you to adapt this model for different age groups, schedules, or learning outcomes, and even incorporate curriculum-linked modules such as science, geography, and environmental studies.

From first bubbles to global exploration — Scuba 4 Schools provides a safe, structured pathway that turns curiosity into confidence, and learning into adventure.
