At Scuba 4 Schools, safety is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that scuba diving can be an incredible educational experience — teaching students confidence, teamwork, and respect for the ocean — but only when it’s done with the highest standards of care and professionalism.
We operate under a rigorous safeguarding policy designed to protect every student in our care. The majority of Scuba 4 Schools staff have completed a Level 3 Award in Safeguarding, ensuring there are always fully trained staff in each group to recognise, respond to, and report any safeguarding concerns appropriately.
In addition, all staff attending your premises will have undergone an enhanced CRB/DBS check within the last two years.
This vetting and training process is ongoing, and documentation confirming staff checks is available for inspection upon request.
All of our programs are led by fully certified diving professionals, trained under internationally recognised agencies such as PADI, SSI and TDI. Our team of PADI professionals hold current first aid, CPR, and oxygen administration qualifications and undergo regular safety refreshers to ensure their rescue skills not only remain sharp but are automatic, should the worst ever happen.
Training begins in safe, controlled pool environments before any open-water activities. Students advance only when they demonstrate full comfort, competence, and understanding of all required skills.
All scuba and snorkel equipment used in our programs is professionally serviced and inspected twice yearly in our workshop and again visually before every session. We work only with reputable suppliers, ensuring that every mask, regulator, and tank meets or exceeds safety standards.
Scuba 4 Schools maintains comprehensive public liability and professional indemnity insurance. All activities are carried out in line with recognised diving organisation standards and local health and safety regulations.
Safety is not a one-time procedure — it’s a mindset. We continually review our policies, seek feedback from schools and parents, and foster a culture of awareness, responsibility, and care among our team and students.
Please feel free to check our safety record with the HSE using this link.
Our team are trained to respond calmly and effectively in any situation. Every session follows a comprehensive set of RAMS with a tried and practised emergency action plan, which includes oxygen kits, communication protocols, and pre-arranged emergency contacts.
